The sound rocks!!! - I just received my Klipsch iGroove SXT and i am delighted with it, the sound is great, has a very nice design. before buying this one i did a very good research, i was dreaming with the Bose one, but the price was a little expensive, so i decided for the Klipsch and was the best choice, great sound, it rocks!!!!
This is good. Don t be put off by the badge - Ok everyone goes on about how great the Bose iPod dock is.... Well if your a badge junky go and buy your BMW or Audi and ignore the Ford. Thats how I d sum this item up. It does everything wonderfully welland wont let you down. If you ignore the badge on the front you ll be well impressed with Bose soundalike system !Blindfold yer mates and take em for a ride. Tell em its a BMW and they ll be saying wow what a great ride! Take off the blindfold and they ll probably say something like. Well its okay but its not as refined!Take a tip from me..... buy the Klipsh (pocket £220) and enjoy your music like never before. This is THE BEST ipod dock on the market for under a ton!.It rivals docks which cost three times as much. A bit like the Ford Mondeo really! Its just the badge that puts people off !
No Video on Ipod Classic 160GB but GREAT sound!! - No video output on a 160GB Classic but the sound these speakers kick out is fantatstic - great high/mid and bass. Fully recommend them. I used to have a Bose wavestation and these are every bit as good. No distortion even when turned up loud.
Doesn t work with iPhone 3G - Just incase anyone considers purchasing this, be warned it doesn t work with the iPhone 3G. The iPhone gives you a warning that its unable to accept charging from this and to turn on airplane mode.It does play music through it, al be it without charging, but without airplane mode turned on you get constant mobile phone interference.I had the iPod Touch then upgraded to the iPhone, 4 stars for the using it with any non-phone iPod. Excellent sound, I would want to be able to adjust the bass as it can have too much base.
Not as good as I expected from the reviews - I have an IPOD classic 80GB which I love, although to be honest I m not blown away by the sound quality even at 320kps. I now have most of my music on it and am getting fed up of only listening via headphones. I came across the Klipsch iGroove decks and ordered the SXT based wholly on these review. Just before it was due to be despatched I was in an Apple store looking at the new iMacs and happened to notice they were selling the SXT along with a no of other deck. I asked for a listen and was not too impressed. It did sound very loud and deep for the size of unit, but was also rather muddy and undefined. Based on this and not wantimg the hassle of sending it back I cancelled and will wait until I get get another chance to hear it. I normally encode my IPOD music at 320 MP3 and would like to hear from anyone using 320 AAC to see if that would make a difference.
